IMDA ICT ROADMAP GAME DEVELOPER- MICROSOFT TOUCHDEVELOP
Microsoft TouchDevelop is an interactive development environment and a visual programming language developed by Microsoft that runs entirely in-browser. TouchDevelop has a semi-structured editor that takes care of the syntax for the learners but represents their code in text.
For Newbies (GD-ZEN-NEW), students will learn how to create a game design document and use TouchDevelop to build a multiplayer game for at least 2 players with stored information such as high scores.
For Beginners (GD-ZEN-BEG), in addition to learning the above concepts, they will also learn how to use TouchDevelop to build their games with dynamic contents and with different difficulty levels.
For Intermediate (GD-ZEN-INT) and Advanced (GD-ZEN-ADV) sessions, students will create more dynamic games with multiple possible endings using TouchDevelop and conduct player test sessions to obtain feedback. Advanced students will also learn how to build games playable online.
